LeBron James has spoken, ticket prices soar.
The Miami Heat management on Friday confirmed that the current stock of season tickets for the next season of Miami Heat basketball has been depleted. The people who have tickets and those who want them will now start their thing.
When LeBron James announced his commitment to the Miami Heat, ending his eight year stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers, it was good for Miami ticket holders and bad for the Cavaliers. Ticket prices for the Heat soared.
The minimum asking price for the Heat jumped up to $3,500 up from the previous price of $2,000.
Said Joellen Ferrer, spokeswoman for ebay’s subsidiary StubHub “Seeing this heightened demand we expect that to continue, especially with the announcement of the schedule and the sale of individual games.”
Will Miami Heat seats go to capacity like they did in Cleveland? Miami Heat attendance by some estimates was already at 90 percent. The local economy could feel an economic boost if they are able to market packages which include tickets for the games.
With the current stock of Heat tickets gone will the next batch do the same? The saga continues.
