Jimmy Buffet Show Success May Mean More BP Gulf Music

by TEBro on July 17, 2010

British Petroleum may be on the verge of booking more Gulf coast concerts.

BP(BP) according to the AP maybe  inclined to fund more music shows, based on the recent success of the recent Jimmy Buffett concert they funded. With the oil spill disaster still fresh on the minds of tourists who are inclined to visit the Gulf coast beaches. Confidence in the cleanup is waning as the mainstream news is constantly harping about all the problems in the effort. The beaches are not that bad, although there are places where it is indeed awful.

While there are places where the tarballs and sludge have damaged the ecosystem. There are places where the beaches are pretty clean. A good way to bring the people out is by emphasizing the positive, ala the Jimmy Buffet concert. The show was standing room only. The people that went did indeed have a good time.

The people who went to the Blue Angels Annual Air show was also a big hit and gave a helping hand to Gulf coast tourism. BP may be able to bring in such artists as Faith Hill, Zac Brown, and others. Hopefully the petroleum company follows through with this idea. It definitely could not hurt.
